New Rules for 2006

New rule for shorn fleece classes: There will be no staple length maximum
for fleeces shown from animals age 24 months and under.

Walking Fiber is now a sanctioned class.

  The ALSA Walking Fleece and/or Shorn Fleece Show must be sanctioned as a separate show - as a Fleece Show.  There is a $25.00 Sanctioning Fee for a Fleece Show which includes Walking or Shorn or both together. A qualified ALSA Fleece Judge is required to judge fleece classes.  There is also a $3.00 fee per fleece or walking fleece which must be sent to ALSA along with the results of the show.

However ......... if the ALSA Walking Fleece and/or Shorn Fleece Show class are held in conjunction with an ALSA Halter, Performance, and/or Youth Show and the animals is also enrolled in that particular show, the $3.00 fee will be waived in lieu of the $5.00 per animal recording fee.

If the ALSA Walking Fleece and/or Shorn Fleece Show animal is not entered in the accompanying show, then that particular animal must pay the $3.00 per animal fee for the Fleece Show.
